A movement being called the 'emerging church' is making a major impact on the landscape of North American Christianity and around the world, by reimagining what it means to be church and do mission in ways that are, generous, orthodox, local, contextual and relevant in today's postmodern culture.

Join in intimate conversation with

Brian McLaren,

author, pastor and internationally know leader in the emerging church.

Dialogue with creative, local, missional church practitoners.

In the Message Bible, John 1:14 is translated 'The Word became flesh and moved into the neighborhood.'

COME DEVELOP NEW SKILLS FOR NEIGHBORHOOD MISSION - find out what is old/new in emerging, local, mission to update your firmware and reboot your congregation's mission in today's culture.

EMERGE IN THE MAINLINE Presbyterian, Reformed, Episcopal, Disciples, UCC, Lutheran, Covenant, Methodist... and evangelical congregations, can gain insights from the emerging church movement to renew congregational ministry.

REIMAGINE MISSION, and learn new/old ways to embody God's mission in your local zipcode in ways that matter to your neighborhood.

BRING A TEAM from your congregation with you to help fuel missional momentum when you get back home.

You will BE ACCOMPANIED, by Mark Woodward (Seattle First Nazarene) Karen Ward, from Church of the Apostles Seattle (Episcopal/Lutheran) , Eugene Cho, from Quest Church (Evangelical Covenant, Seattle), and Randy Rowland of Sanctuary (Christian Reformed).

The event M.C. is Dr. Dwight Friesen, from Mars Hill Graduate School.

The Learning Day includes a lunch break. You can purchase Lunch with your registration, or go out to a nearby restaurant on your own.

Also, enjoy fine, fair-trade coffee and pastries pre event, during event breaks and post event at Mosaic coffee house (just downstairs in the Discover Center).
